Wednedsay afternoon (second day Rosh Chodesh Elul)...



... we received a special presentation on the גלעד שליט controversy, the camp was divided into 4 groups each group received source material on the topic and each group sent up a representative to deliver their groups source material, followed by a beautiful video on the subject.

Thursday Chof Hei Av for those...



...who took the מצבע תורה test and scored higher then an 80, received a bonus trip of jeeping and pizza.

This past week during the hype...



...of color war, one of the learning classes had the Zechus of learning how to make a proper קשר (knot) for their תפילין.


This past week we there was a mivtza...



... for all those who came on time to every seder and davening even though there was alot that went on this past week (color war, tubing in the jordan, and much more), and this past friday they were rewarded with a grand banana boating trip in the Kineret.

Tuesday afternoon the staff broke out color war ...



... Tuesday night we started off with skits from each team, Wednesday morning each team presented a theme speech and a halacha skit, followed by a game show where each team sent up 3 representatives and there were asked general questions in יהדות and in חב"ד history, after that each team presented their theme song, this year we tried something new for color war it was a culinary contest where each team had to bake a cake which is connected to their teams theme and present it to the judges then afterwards each team baked enough that the other teams can enjoy from their hard work, after that each team presented their plays followed by a grand sing to bring color war to an end (im including in this post pictures from the whole color war, i am still waiting for more pictures but i will include that in another post).

Yud Av...




... after a long 9 days and a fast we took the bochurim for an exciting trip of outdoor laser tag, biking, and to finish the day we went swimming and had a much needed BBQ, a Special thanks to our photographers Benny Sufrin and Menashe New.

Every Shabbos morning...



... for Seder Chassidus the bochurim learn a nice short מאמר which is connected to the weekly Parsha, then there is time in the afternoon when the bochurim can review the מאמר and then repeat it over verbatim to his teacher, those who get tested receive a reward during the week, this week they got treated to Shawarma.



Part 5: Sunday morning ...




...we started our day nice and early with the Kotel tunnel tours, followed by a tour of עיר דוד, after that we packed up and headed out to the Yad Vashem museum where we split up into 2 groups and we got the tour of the museum with the aid of amazing tour guides that gave the museum a whole new experience, after that we headed out to Me'ah Shearim where the bochurim got to buy souvenirs and buy a delicious dinner, finally to end our trip we headed back onto the busses and stopped by the 770 located in רמת שלמה to daven מעריב to end a eventful weekend in Yerushalaim.

Part 4: After the group photo ...



... by the Kotel we gave the bochurim the option to either go on a city wall tour or to Pantry Packers (Pantry Packers is a newly opened מוסד under Colel Chabad and ran by Rabbi Menachem Traxler, it is located in a warehouse 10 minutes away from the Kotel, it is where volunteer's can give an hour of their time to help pack food for poor families in Eretz Yisroel), after the trips ended we had a beautiful pizza מלוה מלכה, and then off to bed.


Part 3: Shabbos morning...



...we woke up the Bochurim then we learned chassidus with danishes which were purchased in Me'ah Shearim, followed by שחרית by the Kotel, after Davening we returned to eat סעודת שבת where we also had the privilege to have Rabbi YY Jacobson say a few words for the Bochurim, after סעודת שבת some of the devoted staff took the bochurim on a walking tour of the new city of Yerushalaim (Me'ah Shearim, The Park of Independance, Mamilla,), then we davened מנחה at the צמח צדק shul, after that we walked to the Kotel to daven מעריב and hear הבדלה, then we gave the bochurim some time to take private pictures of themselves by the Kotel, then we took a group photo by the Kotel (which will be posted at another time), after taking the group photo we bumped into the Canadian team who are playing in the Israel Maccabiah games.











Part 2: After leaving Latrun....


... we went to the Bar Kochba Caves followed by קבר רחל and after that we finally made our way into Yerushalaim where we stayed at the Diaspora Yehsiva (located right by קבר דוד) which is a 10 minute walk from the Kotel, there we unpacked ate lunch and got ready for shabbos and then we got a walking tour of the old city of yerushalaim followed by קבלת שבת by the Kotel.
